Mircoaggression

Since I am hispanic and many people tend to believe that hispanics are loud, the minute I get loud or seem to get loud with my friends I am considered "ratchet." I am considered uncivilized and ghetto when in reality I grew up in New Jersey. I grew up in the suburbs and should not be described like this.

BOOK COVERS

MY FAVORITE BOOK COVER:

This is one of my favorite books. I believe that the book cover is successful in capturing the book main ideas and themes since the it shows the main character's love for making maps. Although it does not show what the book is about it shows something thats significant to the character of this book.

BOOK COVERS THAT CATCH MY EYE:

This Cover is interesting because it incorporates a 3D look with the paper folding back. It's also interesting that its everything you know and the paper makes it look like there is a list of things someone knows. 

This cover is interesting because the cover directly relates with the title of the book. Sometimes it is corny when designers do this but with this one looks appealing.

This cover stood out to me because there it is no title with this book but this image of an explosion of sharp objects. 

I think this cover is so cute. Oil is as serious topic but this cartoon version of it makes it seem like its not. 

This cover is interesting because the title is imprint so they creator of the cover used an imprint out of words as the lines of the fingerprint.

LOGO REFLECTION

The most challenging aspect of this project was creating the logo. I was struggling with drawing the shoes for this project since the lines were not connected at first. I had to go to outline and connect all the individual lines to make a complete shape. I overcame this challenge by manually connecting the lines and making sure all the anchors connect.
The most successful aspect of this logo was creating the idea for the logo. I thought that using the converse and having them in a ballerina position would show dance.

Mid-Winter Break

Over the break I did not do much. I babysat three children ages, 5,7, and 12. Friday was my birthday so I turned up and went to dinner with a close friend. The rest of the time during the break i got to enjoy Netflix, One tree was life and saved me from boredom. I did absolutely no homework, yet completed a lot of college applications. I wish I had more time for break.
